Selling tours, organising trips, and operating as a travel agency in Latvia all require official registration with the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs — PTAC). Afortis Group handles the full process: document preparation, financial guarantee arrangement, client contracts, and submission to PTAC through to final approval.

Tourism activity is registered through PTAC, which oversees client rights and the financial responsibility of both operators and agencies. The PTAC licence is a legal prerequisite — without it, you cannot sell travel packages or organise trips in Latvia.

The company must be registered in Latvia with a transparent management structure. It must protect tourists’ rights, maintain records of contracts and bookings, supply clients with accurate information, and operate in line with EU norms.
