1. Choose a corporate name in Belize

The name of the company in Belize must be unique and not similar to existing names. Typically, a few versions of the corporate name are submitted to the Registrar. Checking the company name in the Register usually takes a day. The name of an offshore company can be in any language, but it should be written in Latin letters. It is recommended that an offshore name will include one of the following words: Limited, Corporation, Incorporated, Societe Anonyme, Sociedad Anonima, or the abbreviations Ltd, Corp., Inc., S.A.

2. Choose the corporate structure of the offshore company in Belize

At this stage, you can choose to use the nominee service, or appoint directors and shareholders. The founders of the company may be either a physical person or a legal entity and of any nationality.

3. Collect supporting documents for company registration in Belize

The Belize documents of incorporation will include:

Statutory documents can be apostilled. Apostille on documents is required in case the company’s documents will be used abroad, for example, to open a bank account, open a representative office of an offshore company, enter into an agreement with partners.
